From
August 1996- July 1998, WORD conducted eight training camps
in Health Basic hygiene and first-aid to 245 Adi-Dravida Girls
with the help of Tamilnadu
Voluntary Health Association (TNVHA). The participants
from the Adi-Dravida family was identified and recommended
by Primary Health Centres and recommended by the Deputy Director
of Public Health in Namakkal district. The trainees were in
the age group of 15-30 and had a minimum Qualification of
8th standard.
