In the year 1994, with the financial support of 1% Development Fund, Rome, Italy 11 Free medical camps were conducted for the rural people. Free treatment, free medicines were given. Follow up were made for the needy. By this economically backward people in remote villages were benefited much since their pockets will not permit the services of costly medical experts.3230 were given free medicines. 133 were referred to other hospitals. WORD acknowledges the fullest support from the medical team from Perundurai Medical College (IRTT), Perundurai for the completion of the medical camps so successful.
