Bridge
Course for Drop-outs
With the support of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Scheme,
8 special bridge course (Supplementary) education centres
are being run in Pallipalayam block and 7 such special bridge
courses are being run in Trichengode Blocks of Namakkal District
for the out of school children in 6-14 age group from the
Schools are being given special coaching for 10 months from
October 2004 and they will be enrolled in the regular stream
of education and thereby the decline of child labourers in
the District. 303 children are being benefited through this
project. The special bridge classes will be for 4 hours in
day which will be taken by an educational Volunteer.
